Hi there, I have just started climbing about a month ago\303\242\342\202\254\302\246.seems I have found a new addiction or calling \303\242\342\202\254\302\246perhaps both. I can not get enough\303\242\342\202\254\302\246and i am sure i am not the first to feel this way about the sport.

I am wanting to learn technique, I find myself at the gym, climbing, yet not sure as to how I should be doing specific routes, how to shift my body weight etc\303\242\342\202\254\302\246.

If there is anyone out there that knows of anyone that is willing to teach technique, or if there are techniques classes anywhere, or anyone that doesnt mind climbing with a newbie\303\242\342\202\254\302\246 I am open to learning anything and everything possible about the sport\303\242\342\202\254\302\246 please contact me.

Thank you so much!!!

It all kinda depends on where you live. If you are near Comox/Campbell River you are more than welcome to come climbing with the group of us here. I can't speak for Victoria and Nanimo areas though, little too far away for me this time of year.

Sorry, I should have specified. I live in Victoria. Thank you for the invite, and if I head up that way, Id definately be interested.

I heard from my girlfriend that they have a ladies techniques night at Crag X on Sundays. I'm not positive though, so I'd just head in and ask. Next time I'm in I'll get the details and post them here. Other than that I would suggest just joining in one of the big boulder sessions that we usually get going there, and ask away. I'm usually more than happy to give beta or advice :)
