bouldering pads

I'm about to purchase a crashpad, and was looking for some opinions...

I remember reading about the Metolius ones, and I like the diagonal construction between sections (to prevent punching through.) Other than that, I am in a tailspin about other brands

Any thoughts?

We usually use the metolius pads as base pads because they are pretty stiff, and then put a couple of the softer flashed pads on top of them. If you're only going to have one pad I'd suggest a Flashed Temple. It's a good size and pretty versatile. The Black Diamond Drop Zone is pretty good too and a bit cheaper.

Franklin Mondo (now sold by black diamond) is the only pad to use if your doing high balls or shitty landings. Your wasting you $$ with one of those sleeping pads

Organic Climbing makes, in my opinion, the best pads out there. Check them out at
